Learn how to do the easy sedge crochet stitch with these free patterns. There is matching washcloth kitchen towel, and potholder to make a set.
This easy stitch is a combination of the single, half double, and double crochet stitch. The pattern is an easy one row repeat.

This stitch is easy to do and works up quickly. The pattern is easy to remember and to follow with a one row repeat.
I made this kitchen set with a 14 oz cone of cotton yarn of the white multi-colored and 1 skein 3.5 oz skein of the aqua.
The Peaches & Creme yarn is a worsted weight yarn. If you like your towels to be thinner you would want to use a lighter yarn like a light worsted weight or category #3 yarn.
The pattern looks good in solids, variegated, and 2 color designs. The stitch has a diagonal pattern to it.
