This pretty ombre yarn needed a textured pattern that would let the lovely color shine. I made this quick and easy bulky crochet blanket pattern for this super chunky Dappled Bernat Blanket Yarn.
This crocheted blanket pattern has only has 3 crochet stitches, chain, double crochet, and double crochet 2 together stitch.
The two double crochet 2 together is what makes the clusters that form the V shape.
The crocheted blanket pattern is a great beginner blanket project. This chunky ombre baby blanket works up fast too using Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn a super bulky weight 6 yarn.
I was looking for my next project and wanted to make a soft baby blanket with using Bernat Blanket Yarn baby dappled.
The Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn Dappled is an extra soft chenille yarn.
The Yarn
I love the color of this Misty Jungle Green, a pretty light green ombre. It is a super bulky gauge 6 yarn so the blanket will work up fast.
This soft yarn is great because you get lots colors without having to change colors. The colors are mixed into each other for a soft gradient color change.
There are lots of different colors of Bernat blanket yarn, perfect for a little boy or girl. In the Dappled Yarn there is, purple, green, blue, pink, and gray.
You can easily scale up for a throw too.
The yarn is a chenille style, so it is fuzzy. My little girl keeps wanting to rub her face against the blanket.
The chenille style of the yarn makes it hard to see the stitch some times but with practice it becomes easier.
