I love blue and Bernat Blanket Yarn. So for this blanket I combined the two using double crochet stitches for a soft beautiful throw.
This pattern using front and back stitch double crochet. If you have done these stitches before, instead of going through the top of the stitch you crochet around the post.

To make the blanket larger or smaller use an odd multiple of 6 + 4 for the chain. The chain 2 counts as the first stitch of each row.
Tip: if you are using the Bernat Blanket Yarn Ombre you will want to sort the yarn so you don’t have any large sections of the like blue. I found there was more of the like blue than the other colors.
Blanket size: 48 in x 60 in (122 cm x 152 cm)
ch 94
Row 1: dc in the 4th ch from the hook and in each ch across. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 2: In the 2nd st, 6 bpdc in the next 6 sts, 6 fpdc in the next 6 sts, Repeat **. Last st is a hdc. Chain 2 and turn.
Repeat Row 2 until you have 72 rows or the length you want.
Cut yarn and knot. Weave end all ends.
