Introducing my newest Bernat Blanket Yarn throw using Patchwork because why not? I love working with Bernat Blanket Yarn and everyone can use a cozy throw to wrap up in on a cold winter night and watch a movie or read a book.

I love all the color you get in one skein of this yarn. I chose this bright and colorful line called Patchwork in Tropical Splash. You get five colors in one ball of yarn: aqua, light pink, yellow, orange, and teal.

I found there was a little more teal than any of the other colors. Most of the skeins also started and stopped with teal.

Walnut Stitch Crochet Tips

• For the chain you need a multiple of 8 + 5.
• You crochet in the back loop and the front loop for the pattern.
• You do 3 rows of 4 slip stitch, 4 half double alternating. 1st 2 rows back loop, 3rd row front loop.
• Then you do 3 rows of 4 half double, 4 slip stitch alternating. 1st 2 rows back loop, 3rd row front loop.
• Repeat these 6 rows for the pattern.
• The chain 1 & 2 counts as the 1st stitch of the row for the pattern.

• 5- 10.5 oz ( 300 g) Bernat Blanket Patchwork Yarn in Tropical Splash or any gauge 6 yarn 220 yd (201 m)

Abbreviations – US Terms

• slst–slip stitch
• hdc – half double crochet stitch
• ch/chs– chain stitch/stitches
• st/sts – stitch/stitches

Size: 50 in x 50 in (127 cm)

Ch 117

Row 1: slip stitch in 2nd chain, and in next 3 chains. Repeat** *half double crochet in next 4 chains, slip stitch in next 4 chains* (28 stitches)
across. Chain 1 and turn.
Row 2: In the back loop (ch-1 always counts as 1st st) slst in first 4 sts. Repeat** *hdc in next 4 sts, slst in next 4 sts* across. Chain 1 and turn.

Row 3: In the front loop (ch-1 always counts as 1st st) slst in first 4 sts. Repeat** *hdc in next 4 sts, slst in next 4 sts* across. Chain 2 and turn.
