I love blue and texture so I created this raised line blanket pattern using my favorite color and front post stitches for a lovely combination.
The pattern is an easy repeat of half double crochet and triple front post. The triple front post stitches make a double raised line design.

Make a Triple Bar Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern
- scissors
- tapestry needle
- N, 9 mm crochet hook
- 3– 10.5 cakes of Bernat Blanket Yarn Dappled in Wondering Blue or any super bulky gauge 6 yarn (220 yd)
Abbreviations – US Term
- ch–chain stitch
- fptr – front post triple crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- st/sts – stitch/stitches
- yo- yarn over
Approx. size of blanket: 40 in x 40 in ( 102 cm x 102 cm)
To increase or decrease the width of the blanket you need a multiple of 4 + 3 for the starting chain.
The chain at the beginning of each row counts as the first stitch.
Ch 67
Row 1: hdc in second ch from hook, hdc each ch across. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 2: hdc in each st across. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 3: hdc in 2nd st, fptr around next sts two rows below, *hdc in next 2 sts, fptr around next sts two rows below, repeat from * until 2 sts left, hdc in last 2 sts. Chain 2 and turn.
Repeat Rows 2-3 for 48 rows or until desired length is reached, on final row ending with a row of half double crochet.
Cut and knot yarn. Weave in all ends.
