Finger Paint Butterfly Craft – rainbow colored

Create you own colorful paint butterfly craft with your toddler. All you need is some paint and paper.

This craft is easy enough a toddler can do it but can be fun for an older child too. With older children, you can talk about symmetry.

Pair with a book about butterflies for crafting and reading fun. This butterfly painting craft would be great for the letter B too.

You can have the child add a black body. You can also talk about symmetry and a line of symmetry. A line of symmetry is  the imaginary line where you could fold the image and have both halves match exactly. A line of  symmetry is also know as reflection symmetry.

These washable paints worked great! My 2 yd old loves to paint. she gets it on her clothes and it washes right out. Comes in a rainbow assortment great for other rainbow and spring crafts.
