I probably had more tails to weave in as I found it easier to make one of each for sizing (used different yarn and hook sizes for mine) and then make all the pieces before putting the blanket together.

I used Premier Parfait Chunky with a 5mm hook. The ear instructions could be better explained. I made the mane curls separately and did an increase all the way down the chain so they would curl more.
Love it and certainly will do it again. Had some problems with the hair, but that was on me, so I am sure next time it will work out amazingly. Awesome pattern with an awesome result.
