This is a quick and cheap nature craft. Get outdoors and gather some leaves and sticks and make this Leaf People Kid Craft. You could find some rocks or small flowers to be the eyes too.
A good way to spend some time outdoors and craft at the same time. You can have your child search the yard for different items they could use for this leaf people kid craft.
We also make a leaf butterfly. The butterfly was decorated with sidewalk chalk, a favorite of my daughter.
After you have gathered some leaves and sticks you can have your kids make their own leaf creations.

Leaf People Kid Craft – Nature Craft Idea
Supplies
- Various leaves and sticks
- Paper
- Googly eyes
- Glue (if you don’t have self-stick eyes)
- Leaf People Kid Craft – Nature Craft
- Sidewalk Chalk
Pick out a leaf for the head. Add googly eyes, glue if you want to be permanent. Break the stick to the length you want for the body.
Break two more sticks into a 2 equal pieces. Break or find another longer stick to make the leg pieces.
Glue if you want to the paper, after you have arranged the pieces to make a stick person. Color with the sidewalk chalk if wanted.
We love sidewalk chalk. It is a great way to be creative outside. This pack of 24 is great. Lots of different colors and you can store them in the box without too much trouble.
You can also make a butterfly. Find 2 leaves about the same size. Break a stick to about the length of the width of the leaves for the body.
Glue the googly eyes to the stick. Color patterns with the chalk on both of the leaves, creating matching patterns
You can make leave monsters too by adding some googly eyes.
Gather up some leaves and create some people. What will you make?
