I found this pretty mixed of colors at my local store and wanted to make a blanket with lots of colors. 2 skeins of bonus bundle Lion Brand Mandala yarn is great to work with.
You get lots of colors in just one cake of DK or gauge 3 yarn. This one has green, blue, and gray and is called Barbar.

The great thing about Lion Brand Mandala yarn besides all the colors in one skein is that it comes in lots of colorways and is easy to find.

The Stitch
This colorful blanket is made using the Suzette Stitch. This stitch is a combination of single and double crochet stitches in the same stitch. You will find the pattern an easy 1 row repeat.
The stitch makes a pretty woven design that looks great when changing yarn frequently. The stitch is an easy one row repeat using basic stitches.

Pattern Tips
- You can make a larger or smaller a blanket by using an even number for the chain. I started the pattern with 1 row of single crochet.
- You place the single & double crochet in the single crochet from the row before for the entire pattern.
- Make sure your chain is no tight. Either crochet loosely or use 1 size larger hook.
- Make sure to keep he single crochet tight.
- You will crochet over the color you are not using and carry it, alternating each row.
Chain 220 (this is the length)
Row 1: in the 2nd st from the hook, sc and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn.
Row 2: dc in 1st st. *skip st (sc, dc) in st.* repeat from ** to the end of the row. Chain 1 and turn.
Row 3: dc in the 1st stitch * (sc, dc) in sc of the row below, repeat from * to the end of the row. Chain 1 and turn.
Final row of the suzette stitch, do two single crochets in the last stitch.
Repeat Row 3 until you have 104 rows or the length you want.
Knot and weave in ends using a tapestry needle. Cut off excess yarn. Block if you want. Enjoy

Make your own beautifully striped blanket using this easy pattern. This pattern is simple to remember and great for watching TV and crocheting.
This pattern would make a lovey baby blanket too. The yarn is lighter so it is great for warmer climates or summer.
