I love Autumn colors, so for my latest project, I chose soft mute Fall colors in gold, brown, red, and orange. In this blog post you will learn how to crochet a chunky blanket pattern using easy stitches.
When using bulky or super bulky yarn, it is best to use simple and textured stitches. For this pattern, I used the bobble crochet stitch to make a raised ball. This stitch is paired with the two basic stitches half double crochet and single crochet stitches.
Bulky Yarn Category #5
The yarn used in this pattern is Lion Brand Basic Stitch Thick & Quick, a soft gauge 5 bulky yarn. I chose soft muted fall colors for my cozy striped throw pattern.
This yarn comes in lots of different colors and is easy to work with. The yarn does have a tendency to pick up fuzzy but is a soft yarn.
