I was looking for a kid’s craft that would be easy and inexpensive and be useful Mother’s Day gift. This flower mug kid craft needs use a few supplies and can be done by anyone who can draw or write.
I got the idea from here. I have already make tiles with alcohol and sharpies. You can see that tutorial here. The alcohol tiles turn out beautiful and anyone can make them, though it isn’t a craft for kindergartners.
These mugs and coasters would make a great gift for grandma, dad, or a teacher too.

How to Make Flower Mug Kid Craft
Supplies

- Sharpie markers
- 4 in white ceramic tile
- White ceramic mug
- Adhesive cork or felt
- Exacto Knife (if you need to cut cork)

Use the sharpie to make flowers and leaves or any words you would like. You can use your mom’s favorite colors and make a special gift. The sharpies give a watercolor effect. If you draw over a color it, kinda make the color below disappears.
Let the mug dry for 72 hours and then put on a cookie sheet and put in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let mug cool in the oven. I would hand wash the mug.
