There’s something about coasters that just makes them so appealing. Maybe it’s the way they add a pop of color or personality to a room, or maybe it’s the fact that they’re functional and can actually come in handy.
I like to use cotton yarn for your coasters. A blend of cotton can be used for any of them.
Lily Sugar N Cream Cotton Yarn
I like to use this yarn for dishcloths and potholders too. It is a little thicker than some of the other cotton yarns. It is a little stiffer too which works well for the potholders.
This cotton yarn comes in lots of colors, both solid and multi-colored. It can split which is common for many cotton yarns.
Lion Brand 24/7 Yarn
This yarn is 100% mercerized cotton gives the yarn incredible color and sheen which will last through multiple wash cycles.
This yarn is lighter and does not absorb too much water. There ae 37 solid colors for you to try. This yarn doesn’t split and is easy to find.
Peaches and Crème Cotton Yarn
This cotton yarn comes in a variety of colors. It is a little soft and thinner than Lily Sugar N Cream Yarn. The softness makes it better for a face washcloth.
It is easy to get and work with. You can pick it up at your local Walmart or order it online. It is available in large 14 oz cones.

Easy Coaster Patterns to Crochet – Small Crochet Projects
like this pattern a lot, I did however have to adjust a few stitches but otherwise great
Wonderful pattern and easy delivery. Made two coasters and put together for a total turtle for granddaughter.
Making several coasters for friends and family. Just loving this.
I am brand new to crocheting and I chose this pattern to be my first mini project – which I am glad I did! The stem for the strawberry was sort of difficult.
I loved making these Strawberry coasters! I’m made them for my daughter’s baby shower and she loves them too! Thank you for a great and well written pattern!
This pattern is sooooo cute and so easily made. I used this to practice sewing pieces together and it went off without a hitch!! LOVE this pattern.
An easy and quick pattern to make these as gifts for my mom to give to her co-workers at the veterinary clinic! The first few I made were with the Soleil Sugar n Cream yarn and they look like orange tabbys!
Next will be black ones. Thanks for the pattern!
This crochet designer has a cute spider web coaster pattern too, great for Halloween décor.
Super cute! I am a beginner so the petals took a couple tries but they turned out great. Pattern had thorough instructions
My first coaster came out very nice. Good directions and easy to follow.
The citrus slice pattern is super cute! I love the detail, it is a good representation of the real fruit. Pattern is well written with step by step instructions and pictures.
Seller responded quickly and was very helpful when I needed help finding the yarn that was used in the pattern.
Instructions are easy to follow. This is a fun design that looks great.
So springy and cute! I used a 4.00 mm hook because I’m not used to using any smaller than that and I wanted my coaster for a set of glassybabys I have, so I wanted them more like a small doily. I Love how it turned out.
This is an exceptional pattern. Very well written with a key for abbreviations plus a symbol pattern that can be read and followed no matter what language you speak and read.
