Supplies
- Scissors
- tapestry needle
- H – 5 mm crochet hook
- 1 – 3 oz Lily Sugar n Cream in Crown Jewel Ombre any other worsted weight cotton yarn approx 3 oz
Spider Stitch Crochet Dishcloth Pattern
Abbreviations – US Terms
- yo – yarn over
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
You can make a larger or smaller dishcloth or a blanket by using an odd number for the chain.

Approx. 12 in x 12 in (30 cm)
Chain 41
Row 1: 3rd chain from the hook, work one sc, one ch, one sc, then skip one ch, and work the spider again. (sc–ch–sc). Continue across the whole row. You should have one extra chain at the end. Work a sc into that stitch. ch 2 and turn.
ROW 2: Skip over the first two stitches and find that ch space. You’ll want to work your sc–ch–sc into that stitch. Continue across the row until the last stitch will be sc. Chain 2, turn.
Repeat Row 2 until you have 39 or the dishcloth is square. Cut yarn weave in ends.
