Looking for a soft chunky crochet throw blanket? This blanket uses basic stitches to make a textured stripe.
This quick & easy Triple Berry stripe Bernat yarn chunky crochet blanket pattern free printable pdf will be a great project to try.
This easy stripe crochet blanket pattern only has 2 crochet stitches, single and the even berry, which makes the textured square.
This chunky throw blanket works up fast too using super bulky yarn.
The Yarn
I was looking for my next crochet project and wanted to try Bernat Blanket Yarn O’Go. This is the same yarn as usual, but it has a new way for it to be pulled from.
I love the soft fuzziness of this Bernat Blanket Yarn. The yarn is easy to find and inexpensive.
There are lots of color choices too: blues, pinks, reds, greens, grays, lavender, and more. There are also solid colors, as well as, other multi-colored yarn choices. It be easier to pick 3 color of regular Bernat Blanket Yarn.
I choose to separate the colors which kind of defeats the purpose of the yarn being together, but I liked the look of the complete stripe better. The unwinding of the yarn was easier on some skeins and not on others.
I found this super bulky yarn is a little hard to work with because it is fuzzy. You have to feel with your hook or your finger for the next stitch space.

I thought Bernat blanket yarn would be a great choice for this crochet blanket pattern. The chenille yarn is a bulky gauge 6 yarn so the blanket will work up fast.
There are lots of different colors of Bernat blanket yarn, perfect for anyone’s décor.
You can easily scale down for a chunky baby blanket too. The yarn is a chenille style, so it is fuzzy. My little girl keeps wanting to rub her face against the blanket.
