How to Make an Autumn Sunset Easy Striped Crochet Blanket Pattern

• Scissors
• tapestry needle
• H, 5 mm crochet hook
• 6– 5 oz Caron Paints Yarn – in Caron Simply Soft Paints Yarn Sunset Autumn – I used all of it
• 1 – 6 oz Caron Simply Soft in Autumn Red any other worsted weight yarn

Abbreviations – US Terms

• yo – yarn over
• sl – slip stitch
• sc – single crochet
• dc – double crochet stitch

You can make a larger or smaller blanket by using an odd number for the chain.

Row 1: sc in the 2nd chain from hook,until the end of the chain. Chain 1 turn (36 st)

Row 2: dc in the first sc, *skip a stitch, sc, dc, in the next stitch* repeat ** until the end of the row. End with 1 sc. Chain 1 turn (36 st)

Row 3: Repeat row 2 until you have 16 rows of Color A plus the row of single crochet (17 total). Then 4 rows of Color B, 16 rows of Color A, 4 rows of Color B, 16 rows of Color A, 4 rows of Color B, 16 rows of color A, 4 rows of Color B, 16 rows of Color A, 4 rows of Color B, 16 rows of color A. Last row is a row of single crochet. Tie and cut off. Weave in ends using a tapestry needle.

There are 6 blocks of the Color A alternated with 5 blocks of the Color B.
