How to Make a Woven Easy Ear Warmer Crochet Free Pattern

Supplies

  • scissors
  • tapestry needle
  • 1- H 5 mm crochet hook
  • 1- 8 oz (227 g) Caron Cinnamon Swirl Cakes in Oyster or any gauge 4 worsted weight yarn 407 yd (372 m) I used about 1/3 of the skein.

Abbreviations – US Terms

  • yo – yarn over
  • st/sts – stitch
  • ch – chain
  • hdc– half double crochet
  • fpdcfront post double crochet
  • bpdc – double crochet back post
  • dcdouble crochet

Ear Warmer Crocheting Pattern

Chain 20

Row 1: sc in the 2nd chain from the hook and in each chain cross. Chain 3 and turn.

Row 2: Working in the spine of the ch, dc in 3rd ch from the hook. dc in each st to the end. Chain 1 and turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, hdc in 1st st. *fpdc around next stitch, bpdc around next st; repeat from * until you have 2 sts remaining. Fpdc, hdc in top of turning ch. Chain 1, and turn.

Repeat row 3 until you have 43 rows or the length you want. You will want 1 in less than the distance around your head.

Cut yarn and weave in ends with a tapestry needle.

Finishing

Fold the ear warmer in half and sew the two sides together with matching yarn.
