How to Make a Free Printable Fingerprint Mother’s Day Card – Homemade Kid’s Gift
Supplies
- White Card stock
- Paint in red, pink, yellow, purple and green – I used acrylics
- black and green markers
- palette or small plate
- wipes
- apron
Step 1. Print
First, print out 2 of these free Mother’s Day Card printable PDF files on card stock front to back: front, inside Mom, inside Grammie, inside Nana, love you lots.
Step 2. Paint
Next, put a small amount of each paint color on the palette. I used pink, yellow, red, purple, and green acrylic. Acrylic paint doesn’t come out of clothes easily or at all when dry.
You might what to use a washable kids paint and have them wear an apron. Don’t forget to push up your sleeves.
Step 3. Paint Centers
Then, dip you finger in the yellow and make centers for the flowers on the printable that says Happy Mother’s Day.
Next, wipe you finger off and pick your next color for the petals of the flowers.
Continue until you have finished all the flowers. You can make butterflies too with four fingerprints put close together. Let paint dry.
Step 4. Stems
Then, you can now add the stems and leaves using a green marker. You can make fingerprint leaves too. Outline the flowers using a black marker and add a body and antennae to the butterflies.
Step 5. Inside of Card
Next, do the inside of the Mother’s Day card. You could do hearts using red and your thumbs press together or more flowers and butterflies. Let dry and fold.
Add some photo prints and the gift is ready to be given to Mom or Grandmother. Enjoy this free printable Mother’s Day Card.
