- 1 – 4 oz Lily Sugar n Cream in Dazzle Blue any other worsted weight 100% cotton yarn approx 2.7 oz
Textured Double Thick Free Crochet Pot holder Pattern
Abbreviations – US Terms
- yo – yarn over
- sl – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
You can make a larger or smaller potholder by using an even number for the chain.

Approx. 8 in x 8 in (20 cm x 20 cm)
Chain 40
Row 1: In 2nd chain from the hook, sc, in the next chain, hdc. Alternate sc, hdc. Repeat across to the end. Continue around to the other side adding an extra stitch in the ends.
Row 2: sl, chain one, hdc into the top of the sc you just made. Alternate hdc, sc. Repeat around in continuous rounds.
Continue around until you have 18 rounds or it makes a 8 in square.
Cut yarn, weave in ends. Whip stitch the center closed.
