Looking for an easy baby gift? A gift that is soft and practical but not too hard to make? A great crochet project to try would be this free Ocean Stripe easy baby blanket crochet pattern.
This free baby crochet blanket pattern only has two crochet stitches, single crochet in the back loop and double crochet in the back loop. This free crocheted chunky baby blanket pattern works up fast too, using Bernat Blanket Yarn.
For my next crochet project, I wanted to make a quick and easy crocheted baby afghan pattern. I thought Bernat blanket yarn would be a great choice. This chenille category #6 super bulky yarn comes in lots of colors and is easy to get.
I didn’t want to wait and picked the ocean color from what was available at my local store. The ocean color would be great for a mermaid or ocean themed nursery. It would work well for boy and girl twins too. If you wanted, you could add either a matching blue border or purple.
There are lots of different colors of Bernat blanket yarn, perfect for a little boy or girl. Most you can easily scale up for a super bulky throw too.
The yarn is a chenille style, so it is fuzzy and soft. My little girl keeps wanting to rub her face against the blanket. Bernat Blanket Yarn is easy to work with. The chenille yarn is super bulky so the crocheted blanket works up quickly, too.
