How to Make a Free Berry Chunky Crochet Scarf Pattern Easy Tutorial
Supplies
- scissors
- tapestry needle
- K – 6.5 mm crochet hook
- 2– Caron Chunky Cakes in Rice Pudding any other super bulky gauge 6 yarn approx. 20 oz. or 600 yd.
Abbreviations – US Terms
- yo – yarn over
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- ebc – even berry crochet
- ch– chain
- st – stitch
special stitch -even berry crochet – yo insert your hook into the space, yo, pull through, yo, and pull through 1 loop on the hook. Then, yo, insert your hook into the same designated space again, yo, pull through, yo, and pull through all 5 loops on the hook.
For the even berry stitch, you need a single crochet stitch between each of the even berry stitches. You also need to alternate with a row between each of the even berry rows otherwise the texture will not be on the same side.
You can make a larger or smaller blanket by using an even number for the chain. The turning chain will count as the first stitch of each new row.

Row 5: *ebc in 1st stitch, sc in next stitch,* End with sc. Chain 2 turn.
Row 6 -: Repeat Row 2-5 ending with a row of ebc.
