Looking for a free scarf crochet pattern to try? This blue waves crochet scarf pattern with free printable PDF is a great crochet project to try.
The free scarf crochet pattern uses the half double stitch and the spike stich, which is an easy variation of the single crochet stitch.
The spike stitch makes a triangular pattern. It is an easy repeat but it does take more concentration on counting then most of my other crochet patterns. You could make it with any gauge 3 yarn you would like.
A crocheted scarf would make a great gift too. You can choose a color to go with their style or a neutral that would work for anyone.
Scarves are practical too. A matching hat pattern will be made, next, with the left over yarn.
I love the multi-colored yarn. I chose Herrschners® Pastry Plus in Umami because it reminds me of ocean and my favorite color is blue. This yarn is soft and easy to work with.
