- yo – yarn over
- hdc – half double crochet
- bldc – double crochet in the back loop only
- blhdc – half double crochet in the back loop only

You can make a larger or smaller men’s crochet scarf pattern or a blanket by using any number for the chain. The turning chain does not count as a stitch.
I made the scarf lengthwise. If you want to make it longer you will need more of the yarn. You will want to chain and check the length. If you want it longer increase the chain by any number.
Gauge: 2.5 in x 2.5 in (7.6 cm) = 6 rows x 9 stitches
Approx. 8.5 in x 75 in (22 cm x 191 cm)
