Using the same yarn I did to make a chunky headband, I decided to make a cranberry chunky crochet cowl pattern to match. I used two skeins to make the set of ear warmer and the cowl.
Crocheted cowls are great. They keep your neck warm without getting in the way. This is a cushy soft cowl with great texture that works up quickly.

This crochet cowl pattern is made using Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn. This super chunky yarn has a natural texture and is gauge 6 so it works up extra quickly.
If you are sensitive to wool you might want to choose a soft acrylic yarn. The yarn is soft but I still find it irritating if my skin touches it. Lion Brand Hometown would be a great substitution.
This crocheting pattern works up fast and only uses the half double herringbone crochet stitch. It is a soft bulky yarn that works up easily.
You can make this crochet cowl pattern in no time. There are lots of pretty colors of yarn available.
This easy cowl crocheting pattern would look good it solid or variegated yarns. You can also use a different gauge of yarn just do a swatch to get the right number for the chain.
This crocheting chunky cowl pattern is great for beginners too. I would call this pattern a beginner plus. You only need to be able to do chain, and half double herringbone stitch, which is an easy variation of the half double crochet stitch.
