Looking for a free easy crochet scarf pattern to try? This pink and gray puff chunky scarf crochet pattern with easy crochet stitches is a great crochet project to try.
This scarf crochet pattern makes a raised dot or puff pattern set off by the half double crochet stitches. It is an easy repeat.
The crochet pattern uses the back loop half double crochet stitch, the single crochet together stitch and the slip crochet stitch.
This chunky crochet scarf pattern is great for watching TV and crocheting. You could make this easy bulky crochet scarf pattern with any Lion Brand Hometown colors you wanted or any gauge 6 super bulky yarn.
The Yarn
The yarn used in this scarf crochet pattern is Lion Brand Hometown Yarn. The colors in this line of yarn go together really well.
I chose Salem Creek to make this chunky scarf. It is a mix up of pink, black and gray.
This lovely yarn is easy to work with and comes in lots of colors. Acrylic makes up this yarn, so if you are sensitive to wool this would be a great choice.
This yarn has a dye lot and I found the skeins to be quite a bit lighter than the other ones I had purchase. You will want to get all of your yarn from one source and double check the hues.
A chunky scarf would make a great gift. You can choose a color to go with their style or a neutral that would work for anyone. The scarf would keep them warm and they would think of you.
