Row 1: sc in the 2 ch from hook, sc across continue around do not turn (10 sc) sl
Row 2: 2 sc in each stitch around sl (20)
Row 3-12: 1 sc in each stitch around, sl
Row 13-16: 1 sc in each stitch around, sl, except at the 2 sides do 1dcr
Row 17-18: 1 sc in each stitch around, sl
Before starting the bunny ears add the safety eyes. If the toy is for a child under 3. I would suggest embroidering the eyes with yarn instead.
I added the eyes on the 9th row. Fold the bunny in half and find the center. From the center stitch I went out to the 2nd stitch and put the eyes there.
The nose started on 2 rows from the eyes. I did 3 stitches across for the nose and 3 rows down to a center point and kept repeating until the nose was filled it. I then did the 2 lines for the mouth.
Ears
Row 1- Do not cut. 1 sc in each 4stitches. Then turn and do 1 sc in each 4stitches again, sl.
Row 2-5: 1 sc in each stitch, sl.
Row 6: 1 dcr, sc in each stitch, sl. Tie off.
Slip stitch 2 stitches between the ears and repeat the ear again.
Make the tail. Wrap yarn around 2 fingers until you have a bunch of yarn. Tie a long piece of yarn around the middle, tightly.
Cut both ends and trim the ends until you have a nice ball. Use the long ends and needle to sew the pompom on. You could use a pompom maker too.
