Learn how to crochet a textured striped cowl. This Echo Waves Cowl Crochet Free Pattern is available as a free PDF too.
Crochet cowl patterns are great. Crocheted cowls keep you warm but stay out of the way. Pair this striped yarn cowl with a matching hat for a great set.
The crochet stitch used in this striped crochet cowl pattern is the almond stitch. The pattern is a two row repeat after you set it up. This crochet stitch makes a wave with great texture.
You can pull the cowl up to meet your hat or over your head for extra warmth. This cowl has a tight woven textured to help keep the wind out.
The Yarn
The yarn used in this crochet cowl pattern is Mandala from Lion Brand. There are many beautiful colors of this yarn.
I chose Echo Caves Mandala Yarn. This color is a pretty mix of blues, greens, and cream.
This yarn is a gauge 3 yarn made out of 100% acrylic. The yarn is machine washable.
I have made a few other free cowl crochet patterns that you can try: Cocoa Chunky Cowl, Moss Stitch Chunky Cowl, Candy Cane Neck Warmer Pattern, and Cranberry Bulky Crochet Cowl Pattern.
