  • tapestry needle
  • 1- H 5 mm crochet hook
  • 1 – 5.3 oz Lion Brand Mandala Tweed Stripes Yarn in Knock on Wood, or any gauge 4 yarn 426 yd

Abbreviations – US Terms

  • ch/chs – chain/chains
  • st/sts – stitch/stitches
  • sk – skip
  • dc – double crochet stitch
  • bpdc –  back post double crochet stitch
  • fptr – front post triple crochet stitch

To make a larger or smaller project, use a multiple of 5. The chain 3 counts as the first double crochet.

Free Twisted Tweed Crochet Scarf Pattern

ch 40

Row 1: dc in the 4th ch from the hook and dc in each stich across. Turn. 

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc. *Sk next dc, fptr around next dc. Working in front of st just made, fptr over skipped st. Dc in next 3 dc.* Repeat from ** across row. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc. Bpdc over next 2 fptr. *Sk next dc, 3 dc in next dc. Sk next dc, bpdc over next 2 fptr.* Repeat from ** until 3 dc left. Dc in last 3 dc. Turn. 

Row 4: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc. *Sk next bpdc, fptr in next bpdc. Working in front of st just made, fptr in skipped st. Dc in next 3 dc.* Repeat from ** across row. Turn. 

Repeat Rows 3-4 for 111 rows or until you have the length you want.
