I am always looking for new crochet stitches. I found this interesting thick stich and wanted to give it a try. Using the new crochet stitch, I made the feather stitch crochet dishcloth pattern.
You can use as a square crochet dishcloth as a cleaning cloth, dish towel, or wash cloth. They work great and are durable.
This crochet stitch makes a long stitch on one side for each row. This gives it a look of a feather. The feather stitch takes up a lot of yarn which makes a dense fabric.
I chose Lily Sugar N Cream Yarn. I like that it is to get. The yarn comes in lots of different colors. I picked Soleil Ombre which is a bright mix of yellow and oranges.
I used Peaches & Crème Yarn in Happy Go Lucky too. You can get it in large cones at your local discount store. I made a dishtowel, a dishcloth, and a potholder out of one 14 oz cone.
These are great gifts too. You can choose a color to go with their décor or a neutral that would go with anyone’s style. They are practical too.
