How to Make a Free Cotton Even Wide Double Crochet Dishcloth Pattern
Supplies
- Scissors
- tapestry needle
- H – 5 mm crochet hook
- 1 – 3 oz Lily Sugar n Cream in Hippi any other worsted weight cotton yarn approx 2 oz
Wide Double Stitch Crochet Dishcloth Pattern
Abbreviations – US Terms
- yo – yarn over
- ch – chain
- dc – double crochet
- wdc –wide double crochet
special stitch: wide double crochet, same as a regular double crochet but you crochet in the space between the stitches.
You can make a larger or smaller crochet dishcloth or a blanket by using any number for the chain.

Approx. 12.5 in x 12.5 in (32 cm)
Chain 36
Row 1: dc in the 3rd ch from the hook. Repeat all the way across. Your last stitch in the final chain should be a dc. ch 3 and turn.
Row 2: wdc into space between the dc from the row below. Repeat across to the end(do not put one between the last stitch and the chain 3) ch 3 and turn. (35 sts)
Repeat Row 2 until you have 25 or the dishcloth is square. Cut yarn weave in ends. Enjoy your crocheted washcloth
