Using the same yarn I did to make a chunky ear warmer and neck warmer, I decided to make a candy cane chunky crochet hat pattern to match.
This crochet chunky hat pattern is made using Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn. This yarn has a wavy texture and is gauge 6 so it works up extra quickly.
The Lion Brand yarn was picked up at my local store, while I was grocery shopping. I loved the mix of different colors. There are greens, blues, reds, and oranges mixed with off white and gray.
The contrast of the white with the softer colors of the multi-colored yarn make the design of the crochet stitch stand out.
Crocheted chunky hats are great. They keep your head warm and work up fast. This is a cushy soft hat with great texture.
This crochet pattern works up fast using the trinity stitch. I made a crocheted dishcloth, Over the Rainbow, that you can try out the crochet stitch with.
You can make this crochet pattern in no time. There are lots of pretty colors of yarn available.
This crochet pattern is easy and with a simple repeat. After you have mastered the single crochet together stitch, this hat will be a quick crochet project.
I used two skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn plus 1 skein Premier Serenity Chunky Yarn to make the set of neck warmer, headband and hat.
