Looking for a free easy and quick crochet dishcloth pattern to try? This V stitch crochet dishcloth pattern is a great project to try. It uses the double crochet stitch.
You can use as a square crocheted dishcloth as a cleaning cloth, dish towel, or wash cloth. They work great and are durable.
This crochet stitch makes a V. It is a simple repeat pattern, great for watching TV and crocheting. It is a easy stitch with great texture.
I chose Lily Sugar N Cream Yarn. I like that it is easy to get. The yarn comes in lots of different colors. I picked Sunkissed ombre which is a mix of white, yellow, and blues.
These are great gifts too. You can choose a color to go with their décor or a neutral that would go with anyone’s style. They are practical too.
I been making all kinds of different dishcloths, floret stitch dishcloth, free half double dishcloth, 123 sedge stitch dishcloth Pattern, free herringbone dish cloths crochet pattern, creamsicle dishcloth pattern, wide double crochet dishcloth, and even berry dishcloth so I decided to do another set in a different stitch.
I also made this blue wave dishtowel using the ripple stitch. There are matching pot holders for some of the stitches: simple potholder pattern, crunch stitch potholder, and half double stitch potholder crochet pattern too.

Abbreviations – US Terms
- ch– chain
- dc – double crochet stitch
- st– stitch
You can make a larger or smaller crochet dishcloth or a blanket by using a multiple of 3 + 1 for the chain. Turning chain counts as first stitch of the row.

Chain 37
Row 1: (dc, ch 1, dc) in 5th ch from hook. *Skip 2 chs, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next. Repeat from * across until 2 chs remain. Skip 1 ch. Dc in last. Chain 3 and turn.
Row 2: (dc, ch 1, dc) in each ch 1 space across. Dc in last stitch. Chain 3 and turn.
Repeat Row 2 until you have 16 rows or the dishcloth is square.
Border
Round 1: Turn and single crochet in each stitch round the dishcloth and down the sides evenly (approximately 2-3 stitches per row). Put 2 single crochet in each corner. You want an even number of stitches. Slip stitch to the first stitch of the round.
Round 2: Sc, ch1, sc, in the 1st stitch. Skip one stitch. *sc, ch 1, sc in the next stitch, skip one stitch.* Repeat ** until the end of the round. Slip stitch to the first stitch of the round.
Cut and knot yarn. Weave in ends, using a tapestry needle.
