I had this pretty color of Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn and wanted to make something with it. I have been making granny squares with it when I decided to make this easy stained glass ear warmer headband, free crochet pattern. It would make a perfect gift.
Crocheted headbands are great. You can still have your hair up in a bun and not wear a hat. I like that they don’t seem to make my hair stand up with static electricity either.
This winter headband crochet pattern can be a stretching wide headband, neck warmer or a double thick ear warmer. The fun colors add brightness to a dull winter day. This ear warmer could be called a messy bun hat too. It covers most of my head.
This crochet headband pattern works up fast and only uses the front and back post double crochet stitch in a one row repeat. The Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn is a soft yarn that works up easily. The yarn is available in lots of pretty jewel tone colors.
The yarn is a little thick and thin so it can be a little difficult. You can make this pattern in no time. There are lots of pretty colors of yarn available.
This crochet pattern is great for beginners too. I would call this pattern a beginner plus. The hardest part would be learning what back and front post stitches are.
