The moss stitch, as known as the granite or linen stitch, is a woven looking crochet stitch that is made up of the most basic stitches.
This crochet stitch using the single and chain crochet stitch, the first stitches you learn. This crochet stitch has even sides.

- 3 – 5 oz (141 g) Caron Simply Soft in Times Square or any worsted weight gauge 4 yarn 235 yd (215 m)
- 1 – 6 oz (170 g) Caron Simply Soft in Soft Pink or any worsted weight gauge 4 yarn 315 yds (288 m)
