Looking for a soft baby gift? A gift that is soft but not too hard to make? This blue bobble baby boy crochet blanket pattern will be a great project to try.
This baby boy crochet blanket pattern has 3 crochet stitches, the single and double crochet stitches and the bobble stitch. It is an textured soft blanket. The crocheting pattern repeat on this super soft blanket is easy.
I was looking for my next crochet project and wanted to make a soft baby boy baby crochet blanket with using Bernat Bundle Up Yarn. I love the soft texture of this tube yarn.
Two pretty blues were my choice for this textured bobble baby blanket. There are several other soft muted colors in this yarn line for you to choose from.
I made a two tone Pretty Pink Primrose Baby Blanket and a Lagoon Textured Stripe Baby Blanket using the same soft yarn, Bernat Bundle Up Yarn. Both free baby blanket crochet patterns are available on my blog with many other free crochet blanket patterns.

Border in Dark Blue
Pull up a stitch on the bottom side. Sc in each stitch around, 2 sc in each corner (I did 3 for the doubles and 3 for the double and single on the sides). There should be 540 stitches. You will want a multiple of 6. Add more stitches as necessary in the corners. Round 2 is sc in each stitch around. Round 3. is 5 sc, on in each stitch and 1 bobble. Repeat 90 times. Rounds 4-7, sc in each stitch around.
The border is single crochet with one round of 5 single crochets followed by 1 bobble stitch. There 2 rows of single crochet then the row with the bobbles followed by 4 more rows of single crochet.
Knot, cut end and weave ends with a tapestry needle. Enjoy your baby boy crochet blanket.
This blanket uses the bobble stitches in a square to make the raised texture. The pattern repeats through out the blanket. I then add bobbles to the border in the dark blue.
