Looking for a soft baby gift for a little girl? A gift that is soft but not too hard to make? This soft Pink Addison Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern with furry border will be a great project to try.
The shell crochet stitch has only has 2 crochet stitches, single and double crochet stitch. You make the classic simple shell crochet stitch with those easy beginner crochet stitches.
The crochet pattern is a great beginner blanket crocheting project. This crocheted chunky pink baby blanket works up fast too using Bernat Forever Fleece Yarn a super bulky weight 6 yarn.
The Yarn
I love the soft fuzziness of this Bernat Forever Fleece. You don’t usually get a fuzzy yarn like this that does not have wool in it. The pink and white yarn is perfect for a new little girl.
There are other color choices too: blues, greens, grays, lavender, mustard, and more. The colors of yarn are soft muted tones to go with the softness of the yarn. There are a few multicolored yarns too.
I found this super bulky yarn is easy to work with and consistent in thickness. It was easy to wrap up into a ball.
The other yarn I used for this crochet project was the starting point for me. I used Lion Brand Go For Faux yarn for the border. I have been wanting to add a furry border to a blanket and I thought that these two yarn worked together well.
You will want to wash this crocheted blanket before giving if you make a baby blanket. Faux fur yarns tend to shed.
