  • ch/chs – chain stitch/stitches
  • st/sts – stitch/stitches
  • sc single crochet
  • scbl – single crochet back loop only
  • th sc – thermal single crochet stitch

Special Stitch –th sc = Thermal single crochet – Insert hook into the back loop and into the front unworked loop of the stitch from the row below. Yarn over and pull up a loop (You should have 2 loops on hook). Yarn over pull through both loops on hook.

You can make a larger or smaller potholder or a blanket by using any number for the chain.

Materials

  • scissors
  • tapestry needle
  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • 2– 2 oz Peaches & Crème Stripey Cotton Yarn in Linen or any other medium worsted weight gauge 4 yarn

Instructions

  1. Chain 36
  2. Row 1: In the 2nd st from the hook, sc and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn.
  3. Row 2: In the 2nd st, scbl and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn.
  4. Row 3: In the 2nd st, th sc and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn.
