How to Make a Star Stitch Crochet Dishcloth Pattern
Supplies

Crochet Star Stitch Pattern
You can make a larger or smaller crochet dishcloth or a blanket by using an odd number for the chain.

Row 1: insert hook into the 2nd chain from the hook, pull up a loop. Insert hook into the 3rd chain from the hook and pull up a loop. Skip the next chain. In the 5th chain from the hook, insert the hook and pull up a loop.
Yarn over and pull through all 4 loops on your hook. *Chain 1. In the chain 1 space you just made, insert the hook and pull up a loop. In the last chain that was worked (from the hook where you pulled up your 4th loop), insert the hook and pull up a loop.
Two chains over (in the seven chain from the hook), pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through all 4 loops. Repeat * until you reach the end of the row. Chain 2 more for a total of 3 chains and turn.
Row 2: In the 2nd chain from the hook, pull up a loop. In the 1st chain 1 from the turning chain from the row below, insert the hook and pull up a loop. Then insert your hook into the 2nd stitch from the row below. Pull up a loop.
Then pull through all 4 loops on your hook. *Chain 1. In the chain 1 space you just made, insert the hook and pull up a loop. In the last chain that was worked (from the hook where you pulled up your 4th loop), insert the hook and pull up a loop.
