Potholder crochet patterns are great for learning a new crochet stitch. You don’t need much yarn. I made a whole set: pot holder, dish cloth and towel with 14 oz of cotton yarn.

You can use as a kitchen cleaning cloth, dish towel, or wash cloth. Crochet kitchen towels work great and are durable.
